1. Watercolour Secrets - DVD Version

Following on from the success of the Watercolor Secrets downloadable course, we have been working hard to make available the DVD version. I know many people want the course on DVDs for all sorts of reasons. Perhaps you just prefer to relax and watch a DVD on television, or maybe you paint away from the computer, or someone else wants to use the PC while you want to watch a lesson and so on...

We're doing our level best to have them ready in time for Christmas and as I write the DVDs are being prepared by the production house. We've added a number of further lessons to the DVD course and in fact there's so much additional material we wanted to add, we've produced a bonus DVD to get it all in - so nine DVDs in all!

We'll be running a special offer during launch week again, whereafter the DVD course will revert back to the full price.

For those who've purchased the online version and want the DVDs as well, don't worry. You are entitled to a hefty discount - the full price you paid for the online version.

We'll send out notification at the end of this month when everything's ready.

2. Video Tutorial of the Month - How to Paint Elephants in Watercolour

There's actually not many tutorials out there on painting elephants and this one shows you not only how to paint them but more importantly how to draw them first using the simple principles developed in the Watercolor Secrets course, mentioned above.

Find the video here....

3. Video Tutorial - Preparing Your Canvas for Painting

To complement the article on choosing canvas for oil painting, have a look at this video on how to stretch your own canvas. Even if you're not into preparing your own canvasses from scratch, the video gives you a good idea how a canvas is created and stretched properly over a wooden frame.

Here's the video

4. Article: Which Canvas Should I Use ?

This article looks at different types of canvas for oil paintings and how they are constructed. It also considers the pros and cons of preparing your own canvasses as against buying the pre-prepared versions. Here's the link:-

5. Featured Art Group - Graphite & Dry Media

Set up by Kammy, Graphite and Dry Media is open to everyone. If you like drawing and using pencils, pastels and so on, think about joining this group for lots of friendly support and feedback....

That's it for this issue. Best wishes and see you next time.

Bob.
